Mt Maroon Summit
There are no maintained walking tracks up Mt Maroon so good navigational skills and a high level of fitness is required. Below are two routes to the summit the most commonly used Cotswld rd then Drynans hut rd.

Cotswold rd Route is pretty straight forward although barley marked the track is distinct and easy enough to follow.
Starting at the carpark at the end of Cotswold rd follow the trail through the gate and up the mountain, there are some markers on the rocks but make sure you keep to the Right and about halfway up the track will go down hill a little bit before heading up toward the saddle, from the saddle follow the track slightly to the Left and up the rocky section to the summit.
Distance: approx 4.5kms return allow 3 - 5 hrs.
Drynans hut rd Route starts at the end of Drynans hut rd, Do Not enter the property with the little shack but follow the track down and acorss the creek and continue to follow the fire trail to the end, from there follow the track up and over the hill to the Left there you'll see Paddys falls to your Right.
Continue to follow the track past the falls keeping the creek to your Right and at just over 0.5 km there'll be a track on the Right that goes through Paddys Plains campsite across the creek and up Maroon gorge, follow the gorge all the way up to the saddle then around to the Right to the simmit.
Distance: approx 12kms return allow a full day.
Note: the track from the campsite is "Not" distinct so great attention to the surroundings is needed to avoid becomming lost.
